My theater work falls into one of two categories. I write traditional plays that thematically include a topical issue anchored to a narrative representation of that issue. I also write more personal story telling style performance pieces. The performance pieces are directly derived from my own experiences. My strategies for creating work usually stem from a concerning observation made within my immediate community. This year I've been in the process of developing three pieces, all of which examine individualism in the lives of American youth as a destructive force.
